Dr. Lauren Wisser
DVM
Dr. Lauren Wisser began her academic journey at Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Dairy Sciences in 2000. She went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Following graduation, she fulfilled the clinical portion of her veterinary training at the University of Georgia and became licensed to practice veterinary medicine and surgery in New York State in October 2004.

Dr. Wisser further demonstrated her commitment to excellence by earning certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) in 2005, administered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). She is a proud member of the AVMA and upholds the Veterinarian's Oath with compassion, integrity, and dedication to lifelong learning.

Dr. Lauren Wisser bring over two decades of experience and compassionate care to Geneseo Veterinary Care. Dr. Wisser is Fear Free Certified, using gentle, low-stress handling techniques to ensure that every pet- and their people- feel more at ease during visits. Her calm, patient approach helps create a more positive experience, especially for anxious or sensitive animals.

In addition to caring for cats and dogs, Dr. Wisser has a special interest in exotic animal medicine, regularly treating reptiles, birds and small mammals. Her breadth of knowledge and thoughtful, individualized care make her a trusted partner in your family and pet's health-no matter the species.

When she's not in the exam room, Dr. Wisser enjoys spending time with her two children, their Husky, Odysseus, two cats, Oreo and Mushy Paws, and two rabbits, Galaxy Constellation and Sir Fuzzypants.
