Dr. Wisser has a lifetime of experience caring for a variety of exotic species. Her passion  for animals began as a young child as she cared for her own pets. From birds to rabbits, cats, dogs, and even horses, she spent her free time caring for animals of all sizes. Through understanding of proper husbandry for her patients is critical to ensuring they have the best chance at a full, healthy life, and she has dedicated much of her life to acquiring that knowledge. During her time in veterinary school, she geared her studies towards all species. She also acquired additional training during her rotation with board certified exotics specialists. She has been working with exotics patients ever since!

Dr. Wisser currently offers a multitude of services for exotic patients. in addition to wellness and illness examinations. These include, but are not limited to: bloodwork,  radiographs (x-rays),  ultrasound, histopathology, laser treatment, dental procedures and more. She also offers urgent care for exotic pets, call the office today if you would like to schedule an appointment.

Below is a general list of exotic species commonly cared for by Dr. Wisser. While not all-inclusive, it reflects the most frequently seen small mammals, reptiles, and avian patients in our practice.

Don't see your pet's species listed? Don't hesitate to contact us! We're happy to help determine if we can accommodate your pet's needs. 

 

We do not currently accept backyard poultry such as ducks, geese, chickens, or pigeons as patients.
